the simple UX flow, the minimal and thoughtful design, and the enchanting sound design...this really felt like an immersive story that evoked more interest and emotion as things progressed. the world this app builds relies on mood/tone, and pulls you into the experience really nicely, and somehow feels "cinematic" without relying on visual story or gaming sequences that are literal to "show" everything. instead, it all percolates in your mind and trusts you which is something lacking sometimes in other apps/games. this app is a fascinating combo of a story with puzzle/game moments that speaks to a lot of interesting ideas -- existence and artificial intelligence mostly. would love to see more apps like this, that are thoughtful in their subject matter and beautiful in their design, while exploring the future of how story and gaming intertwine.

Able Black is the Stephen Curry of game apps...authentic, cool, unassuming, yet amazingly awesome and thoroughly entertaining.

This game is beautiful: visually, sonically, emotionally, and in ways I cant even explain. It will tug at your heartstrings and remind you of your deepest existential questions--something I never thought Id find in a game. I cant wait to keep pretending to work but actually playing this game

My first thought as I began Able Black is that it reminded me of the DOS text-based game Adventure/Colossal Cave. Then the calm, thoughtful exploration of sentience felt like I was living within the world of Ex Machina. And then it became something completely new: a blend of storytelling media that was more than the sum of its parts. It’s fresh, it’s provocative and it’s a meaningful step in the art of storytelling.

This game is awesome so far! Extremely unique blend of game, story and puzzle with a interesting storyline.

Theres so many games that play the same on the App Store. This one is very unique. I was drawn into the story right off the bat since I love sci fi. Play it with head phones because the sound is awesome!

Keep getting wrong answer over and Ive with different combinations of numbers. Hints obviously arent helping. So Im stuck cant go further? Glad I paid to get stopped at 3rd puzzle.

Its a pretty cool game, except I really cant seem to get past the spider riddle and its really frustrating.. I already want to delete my game after not even having it a full hour.. help please

Puzzles are ill-thought through. Given a story, followed by an area where you give your opinion followed by a key. The key puzzle has little to nothing to do with the story, and has you interpret symbols in some bland way. There are puzzles that choose to help you grow, and theres puzzles built so an elitist few can explain to you how simple it all is. This game is built around the 2nd group.

How do you do the puzzle with the key and the four boxes where you can choose between the skull, wolf, etc?

This game is a blend of mystery, thought provoking puzzles, and fantastic story telling. Im a fan of The Room games and if you like those youll love Able Black. Im not all the way through yet but Im obsessed and already hoping theres another one coming!

This game looks, sounds, and plays fantastic. It creates a great mood, and the puzzles are challenging but fun. Definitely recommend!

This game is awesome, but honestly it was shorter than Id hoped. I still was really happy with the game and the puzzles tho

Liked the story, reminds me of Device 6. Wish there was more too it but it definitely deserves 5 stars. Thats for sharing your creativity. Buy it.

I really need help one the puzzle with the spider key. I see that it says time but really dont know what to do. This app is pretty good but I really wish there was a skip. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME

Wow, just wow. This isnt a game, it is an experience. The puzzles can be tough but are achievable. The real magic, though, is the story - thoroughly unique, atmospheric, and somehow beautiful. I am sorry it is over. I dont know who you are, Scott Leach, but I very much hope you are working on something else to absorb us.
